Mojo Road Trip 2024 Day 13 June 15, 2024 - Enjoy God's Beauty

 Hello Fabulous Followers! Well, let me say this is an experience.  I joked today that this rustic experience is about as far as I can go for camping.  At least I have a bedroom and bed to sleep and indoor bathroom, even if there are 10 people sharing the bathroom.  This sharing is going ok, but using Joe's razor has not been a top priority.

The high today is low 60's and felt good in the sun.  Clouds are covering the sun, so it is cooler.  Most of the family went on a hike, but I stayed behind with my hubby, sis-in-love Paula and great nephew Micah.  Each of us are doing are own thing. I am sitting on the chaise lounge on the covered porch listening to the wind blow a chime, the biggest horseflies fly by, birds chirp, bull frogs croak, a hummingbird buzzing as it feeds and feel the gentle breeze as it blows. Once in awhile you hear a pontoon go by with families enjoying time on the lake.

Being a native Floridian, this scenery is so different for me.  Mountains and trees surrounding Saranac Lake.  It is just another example of nature and its beauty.

Let me introduce you to the family.

Joe and I are with:

Joseph (our son); Joe's brother and future wife, Ben and Colleen; Joe's sister Joy; Joe's sister Paula; Joe's niece Crystal; Joe's great nephews Eddie and Micah. 

We are enjoying rides on the pontoon, hiking, fishing, kayaking and just being together.  Life is simple and it is a chance to disconnect from the outside world and put an emphasis on life.  Enjoy life, enjoy friends, enjoy family, enjoy nature. We are creating memories for ourselves and for our children and grandchildren to take with them and share with their future kids.

 Hello Fabulous Followers!  Joe and I have embarked upon another travel adventure - 40 days!  The first part of our journey lasts 20 days in France, traveling with a group led by our travel agent, Pam. We are on a AmaWaterways river cruise that started in Paris and navigating the Seine River northward. Now, I usually start a blog with the beginning of our journey (and I will catch you up), but I have been led in a different direction after today's experience. Today, we traveled to the beaches of Normandy and the American cemetery at Normandy.  We sang the National Anthem, had a flower bearing ceremony, listened to Taps and had a moment of silence. Mojo Rants and Blunders - France & More 2025

  Hey Fabulous Followers!  Yes, we have been back for 2 weeks, but voices in my head still wants me to write this blog.  These voices and thoughts have been in my head during our trip and they want out, so here goes! WARNING:  Some comments below are honest, true feelings and blunt. I have a few rants about this trip.   1. Europeans have better food, walk, take public transporation, and are mostly smaller than we Americans, but they like to smoke!  If you know me well, I abhor smoke, nicotine, tobacco, vaping, e-cigarettes. Go to a restaurant and the first thing they give you is an ashtray.  No way Jose, take that thing away!! But these people smoke and blow it in your face.  There were a few times, I thought about throat punching a few people. But I didn't, cause I am so sweet, but when I could I blew back in their face. Mojo Does Mexico January 2026

  Hey Fabulous Followers! This blog is dedicated to my Aunt Alice whom I called Auntie Mama! After my mom died, I coined the name Auntie Mama.  Aunt Alice looked a lot like my mom and people at times thought I was her daughter. Joe and I decided over a year ago to take this trip that was earned in a casino.  Since I was provided a balcony room for 2, I decided to upgrade to a junior suite with a sunset balcony. This means our room was in the aft or back of the ship.  It is an unbelievable sized balcony where we spent lots of time enjoying our private paradise.
