Mojo Road Trip 2024 Day 22 June 24, 2024 - Life is Short

 Hello Fabulous Followers! Today at breakfast we spoke with a young couple who had twin daughters.  All four of them were left handed - imagine that.  They told us about Presque State Park, so we ventured to the park. It did not disappoint.  People of all ages were walking, jogging and riding their bikes.  It was a beautiful day!  We parked the car and walked 1.5 mile.




We then made our way to Kent, Ohio to visit friends, Pam and Paul.  We met Pam and Paul on a cruise in October 2021.  We all were on an excursion and got in line to visit a local pub and decided to share a table.  We exchanged names and Pam informed me she was a travel agent.  I asked her a million questions and asked her for a business card.  (Boy, I hope she doesn't regret that decision).  Since then we have traveled and booked future travels on trips she organizes. When traveling you get the opportunity to meet people that offer advice like visiting the Presque State Park and sometimes, these chance meetings lead to friendships.

Pam and Paul took us around the Kent University campus. In 1970 there were Vietnam war protestors on campus, the National Guard was called out, shots were fired and 4 students were killed. The places where the 4 victims died are marked off.





  No matter our station in life, we all need to embrace and enjoy each day.  We never know who we will meet and what the outcome will be from these encounters.  Live life to the fullest and if you are blessed to see tomorrow, then give thanks.

Tomorrow we are headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and dinner with friends.  From meeting Pam and Paul, we have made additional friendships. It is nice we got an invitation to visit here.

 Hello Fabulous Followers!  Joe and I have embarked upon another travel adventure - 40 days!  The first part of our journey lasts 20 days in France, traveling with a group led by our travel agent, Pam. We are on a AmaWaterways river cruise that started in Paris and navigating the Seine River northward. Now, I usually start a blog with the beginning of our journey (and I will catch you up), but I have been led in a different direction after today's experience. Today, we traveled to the beaches of Normandy and the American cemetery at Normandy.  We sang the National Anthem, had a flower bearing ceremony, listened to Taps and had a moment of silence. Mojo Rants and Blunders - France & More 2025

  Hey Fabulous Followers!  Yes, we have been back for 2 weeks, but voices in my head still wants me to write this blog.  These voices and thoughts have been in my head during our trip and they want out, so here goes! WARNING:  Some comments below are honest, true feelings and blunt. I have a few rants about this trip.   1. Europeans have better food, walk, take public transporation, and are mostly smaller than we Americans, but they like to smoke!  If you know me well, I abhor smoke, nicotine, tobacco, vaping, e-cigarettes. Go to a restaurant and the first thing they give you is an ashtray.  No way Jose, take that thing away!! But these people smoke and blow it in your face.  There were a few times, I thought about throat punching a few people. But I didn't, cause I am so sweet, but when I could I blew back in their face. Mojo Does Mexico January 2026

  Hey Fabulous Followers! This blog is dedicated to my Aunt Alice whom I called Auntie Mama! After my mom died, I coined the name Auntie Mama.  Aunt Alice looked a lot like my mom and people at times thought I was her daughter. Joe and I decided over a year ago to take this trip that was earned in a casino.  Since I was provided a balcony room for 2, I decided to upgrade to a junior suite with a sunset balcony. This means our room was in the aft or back of the ship.  It is an unbelievable sized balcony where we spent lots of time enjoying our private paradise.
