Mojo Does Transatlantic 2025

 Hey Fabulous Followers! After France, Switzerland and Belgium, Joe and I decided last year we wanted to do this transatlantic crossing again on the Celebrity Apex from Southampton, England to Port Canaveral.

It has been so nice to completely unpack and have a relaxing schedule.

Let’s talk about our ports of call.

Vigo, Spain

Vigo is the “Gateway to the Atlantic” and derived from Vicus - a name dubbed by the Romans when they originally invaded the land. Today it is a busy port with a thriving fishing industry.

We were bussed to the Santiago de Compostela, a famous Spanish end point of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and the burial place of St. James.

When we walked inside the Cathedral I was in awe. My mouth fell open and I literally gasped. It was more beautiful than the Vatican. When we visited cathedrals, I always sat down for a moment to pray, meditate and reflect. Joe sat with me and I just stared in amazement. My pictures cannot capture the beauty of what my eyes saw.





Porto, Portugal

Porto is the 2nd largest city in Portugal behind Lisbon and is one of the oldest European cities. We enjoyed port wine tasting and a boat ride on the Duoro River.

Ponta Delgado, Azores

Is an archipelago of 9 volcanic islands in the mid-Atlantic. We enjoyed a dolphin and whale watching excursion. It was a great time and we did see dolphins and whales. I was not quick enough to capture the whales.




Bermuda

Joe and I did not take an excursion but took a 3 mile walk and discovered a beach. The waters here are absolutely beautiful. It is a beautiful place to visit especially if you get to see the men in Bermuda shorts.




Thank you for taking this journey with me. Joe and I are blessed to have this opportunity to travel. We will be gone for 40 days and will be glad to get home.

I have one more blog that is noodling in my head about blunders and rants experienced during this adventure. Stay tuned.

If you want to travel or read a book or start a hobby, do it. Start planning and don’t delay. Life is short and we need to enjoy each day to its fullest.

 Hello Fabulous Followers!  Joe and I have embarked upon another travel adventure - 40 days!  The first part of our journey lasts 20 days in France, traveling with a group led by our travel agent, Pam. We are on a AmaWaterways river cruise that started in Paris and navigating the Seine River northward. Mojo Rants and Blunders - France & More 2025

  Hey Fabulous Followers!  Yes, we have been back for 2 weeks, but voices in my head still wants me to write this blog.  These voices and thoughts have been in my head during our trip and they want out, so here goes! WARNING:  Some comments below are honest, true feelings and blunt. I have a few rants about this trip.   1. Europeans have better food, walk, take public transporation, and are mostly smaller than we Americans, but they like to smoke!  If you know me well, I abhor smoke, nicotine, tobacco, vaping, e-cigarettes. Go to a restaurant and the first thing they give you is an ashtray.  No way Jose, take that thing away!! But these people smoke and blow it in your face.  There were a few times, I thought about throat punching a few people. But I didn't, cause I am so sweet, but when I could I blew back in their face. Mojo Does Mexico January 2026

  Hey Fabulous Followers! This blog is dedicated to my Aunt Alice whom I called Auntie Mama! After my mom died, I coined the name Auntie Mama.  Aunt Alice looked a lot like my mom and people at times thought I was her daughter. Joe and I decided over a year ago to take this trip that was earned in a casino.  Since I was provided a balcony room for 2, I decided to upgrade to a junior suite with a sunset balcony. This means our room was in the aft or back of the ship.  It is an unbelievable sized balcony where we spent lots of time enjoying our private paradise.
